**Overview**

GovCIO is currently hiring for an Operations Research Analyst / Data Scientist to support database development, data configuration, data analytics, and reporting activities at Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This role will be responsible for working within an interconnected reporting and analytics team to pull, configure, and analyze data to create real-time metrics, tasking responses, and overall information to support the ICE mission. This will be a fully remote position.

**Responsibilities**

+ Provide effective data management to enable complex analytics from a myriad of systems and software including Oracle, Databricks, AWS, and ServiceNow

+ Ability to align data with data analytic tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik Dashboards.

+ Facilitate the needs, issues, and challenges faced by the clients; perform gap analysis and recommend solutions and can be enabled within the data systems.

+ Provide trade-off analyses on technical solutions to determine the best tools and methodologies to solve complex data requests.

+ Create project deliverables, including artifacts to ensure adherence to team compliance and quality standards.

+ Use source data to assess the effectiveness of projects and business processes.

+ Work with all team members to analyze changes in requirements and recommend the most expedient solutions in a timely manner.

+ Enable end-user visibility of data and metrics via dashboard creation and metric dissemination

+ Leverage advanced analytic skills to translate complicated issues from multiple information sources into a clear picture for mission leadership.

**Qualifications**

**Required Skills and Experience:**

+ Bachelor’s Degreeor commensurate experience.

+ 5+ years of work experience (2 years of experience may be removed for a masters degree)

+ 2+ years of experience in data exploration, data cleaning, visualization, and overall data analytics

+ 2+ years of experience in data visualization tools such as Qlik or PowerBI

**Preferred Skills and Experience:**

+ Experience in distributed data and computing tools including Databricks

+ Experience with data modeling, mapping data flows and data design.

**Responsibilities**

As a Research Scientist 2, you will:

· Design studies (e.g., randomized control trials, difference-in-difference, propensity score matching) to measure performance of various specialty value-based programs

· Calculate minimal detectable effects for key clinical outcomes of specialty value-based programs

**Required Qualifications**

· 2+ years of experience in applying mathematics, statistics, epidemiologic principals to transform high volumes of complex data into actionable insights

· Experience manipulating and analyzing data using SAS, R, Python, or similar software

POSITION PURPOSE

The Pricing Analyst executes and maintains the pricing strategies for categories and manages multiple pricing zones based on competitive pricing analysis. The Pricing Analyst is responsible for creating insightful data that enables achieving financial goals through the incorporation of historical and competitor data that impact category sales, margin, and rate performance. This job classification requires knowledge of retail operations and pricing strategies, and the ability to implement pricing objectives within the merchandising system.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1. *Conducts research, produces analyses, and recommends actions to optimize sales and margin performance.

a. Conducts competitive pricing analysis reviews and analyzes product pricing compared to the competitors in the marketplace.

b. Implements and maintains pricing infrastructures while ensuring pricing complies with guidelines and meets financial targets.

c. Maintains competitive pricing databases designed to support pricing information decisions.

d. Implements and monitors pricing for KVI’s (key value items).

e. Utilizes price optimization tools and systems to deliver Bashas’ pricing strategy.

f. Continuously reviews and pro-actively identifies areas of opportunities for profit and or/margin enhancement.

2. *Manually enters product pricing into merchandising system database including price changes.

a. Periodically audits computer outputs to ensure data accuracy.

b. Researches and resolves pricing issues as reported by stores on the Company intranet, Category Managers, and system-generated reports.

c. Works with Category Managers to ensure pricing goals are accurately captured and translated by the pricing system.

3. *Provides reporting and documentation of pricing structures and serves as the point of contact for pricing inquiries.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The Advanced Computing, Mathematics, and Data Division (ACMDD) focuses on basic and applied computing research encompassing artificial intelligence, applied mathematics, computing technologies, and data and computational engineering. Our scientists and engineers apply end-to-end co-design principles to advance future energy-efficient computing systems and design the next generation of algorithms to analyze, model, understand, and control the behavior of complex systems in science, energy, and national security.

This is a project hire position with an anticipated duration of approximately six months with the possibility of an extension.

**Responsibilities**

Contribute to PNNL’s goals in modeling and simulation of complex systems as part of the Laboratory’s Computational Mathematics Group of the Advanced Computing, Mathematics, and Data Division (ACMDD). As a **Computational Scientist** , you’ll join a talented, diverse team to make a scientific impact in predicting and controlling complex engineered and natural systems by developing multiscale and multiphysics models of these systems, employing advanced scientific machine learning tools to accelerate and enhance our current modeling capabilities, and deploying these models in high-performance computing environments.

+ Implement the Many-Body Expansion Molecular Dynamics (MBE-MD) scheme on different hardware architectures.

+ Establish a new capability of developing physics-based computational tools for modeling complex chemical systems with multiple spatial/temporal scales and various physical and chemical processes.

+ Apply advanced scientific machine learning methods to enhance our understanding and prediction capabilities of complex systems by applying these techniques to make the MBE-MD scheme more efficient.

+ Develop and optimize workflows for large-scale scientific computing.

+ Interact, communicate, and solve problems with a diverse team of applied mathematics, computational science, and experimental research staff within the ACMDD group and across PNNL.

+ Publish your results in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals.

+ Present your research at technical conferences and project and program review meetings.

+ Participate in the development of research proposals.
