GHD is seeking an expert Project Manager to join out team based out of Phoenix,Arizona, to support work across the West Region (AZ, CA, WA, OR). Our group focuses on water and wastewater treatment, asset management, operations support, and program management for public and private clients. You will use your experience and knowledge and be involved in exciting projects that will offer an opportunity to provide technical solutions.

As a Project Manager, you will provide design leadership, project management services, client management, and development support, relating to water and wastewater treatment projects. What you will bring to the team:

* Experience with hydraulics, wastewater treatment, and construction.

* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, from an accredited university
* 5+ years of engineering experience, or consulting experience.
* Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or Business, strongly preferred but not required.
* Registered Professional Engineer in any U.S. State, and the ability to obtain licensing in the state of Arizona within 12 months of hire.

We are seeking someone with experience in the evaluation, planning, and/or design of Water and Wastewater treatment infrastructure projects, including alternatives analysis; preliminary and process design; treatment facilities design; and engineering services during construction. We are working on some of the most cutting-edge programs in the U.S., including organics-to-energy.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will provide design guidelines, technical oversight, project engineering and management services, client management and business development relating to Water and Wastewater projects. Further, you will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team in sophisticated and innovative projects, support in the training and mentorship of engineers and other technicians and become part of our regional leadership team.

* Coordinate project teams in the development of reports, planning studies, specifications, detailed design drawings, and other technical deliverables for treatment and infrastructure-related projects
* Lead Water/Wastewater treatment planning and detailed design of Water/Wastewater hydraulics, process modeling, process design, equipment design and integration, maintenance of plant operation, process controls, and construction sequencing
* Distribute and oversee the work of subordinate technical staff and engineers
* Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional organization meetings
* Communicate effectively and coordinate with clients on projects during planning, design, and construction
* Lead and support proposals, and scope and fee development; assist with business development pursuits
* Develop and maintain client relationships
* Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and regulators to help create successful projects
* Provide mentorship and development support to junior level staff

What you will bring to the team:

* Planning and design experience in Water/Wastewater treatment facilities, including design experience with preliminary treatment processes such as screening and grit removal process design, secondary treatment processes such as aeration tanks and bioreactor design and process design and modeling of biological processes for organics and nutrient removal, and tertiary process design including effluent filtration and disinfection
* Hands-on experience with Water/Wastewater treatment process analysis and troubleshooting, process design, process planning, and process analysis
* Detailed understanding of Water/Wastewater treatment physical-chemical and biological process mechanisms
* Strong project management and design management skills specific to Water/Wastewater treatment facility improvements
* Experience with Water/Wastewater treatment facility construction and commissioning of facility upgrades and new facilities
* Familiar with Water/Wastewater treatment regulations and restrictions
* Experience managing clients and supporting business development
* Ability to excel in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as independently
* Effective written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

* 10+ years of experience in the Water/Wastewater treatment design with emphasis on upgrades of Water/Wastewater treatment facilities to add new process mechanical equipment and biological treatment system improvements
* Bachelor's degree in civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
* Master's degree in civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred
* Valid AZ Professional Engineering license is preferred, or a Professional Engineering license in another state with the ability to obtain a AZ license within one year preferred

Salary Range: $96,000- $145,000 based on experience

Summary:

This role is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and monitoring safety and health programs and for developing, implementing and monitoring initiatives to engage employees in the safety and health programs.

Essential Functions:

Maintains safety management programs to ensure compliance and objectives.
Contributes to initiatives to engage employees in the safety and health programs
Ensures employees are trained in Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) programs. Utilizes support structure that fosters employee engagement.
Performs hazard risk analysis, determination of effective controls and risk mitigation.
Contributes to safety incident investigation teams to determine root cause, corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinates ergonomic, injury case management and return to work programs.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

* Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Grade 3 Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification and ADEQ Grade 4 Wastewater Operator Certification

* Ability to work independently effectively and efficiently to ensure equipment is operating within normal limits

As a Senior Advanced Test Engineer, you will play a significant role among a group of engineers and technicians in the development and certification of the next generation of gas turbine engines with ownership in the flow facility, core engine, compressor rig, combustion rig or turbine rig test facility.
Our overarching mission is to ensure that our customers obtain the data they need the first time. We develop, own and maintain the facilities and test processes that enable the development, certification and long-term support of the entirety of the E&PS product families.
Key Responsibilities

* Maintain and improve the assigned test facility in a way that ensure the cell is ready to execute tests for the current and future Honeywell product lines.
* Provide constructive feedback on test plans and test approaches.
* Model Safety, HOS, Behaviors and Continuous Improvement.
* Apply knowledge of complex mechanical products test methods to learn engine, rig, facility systems and test equipment.

**Your Impact**

+ Provide engineering services in support of planning, studies, analysis and design of water and wastewater treatment and collection / distribution systems, major/minor conveyance systems, water and wastewater modeling of existing and/or proposed systems including pump/lift stations, groundwater wells, chemical feed systems, and storage reservoirs.

+ Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.

+ Work with CAD designers to prepare plans/drawings for water and wastewater infrastructure systems. Ability to use CAD software is considered a plus

+ Occasional field work and travel to project sites in the US may be required. Approximately 5% overnight travel.

**Who Are You**

+ BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field. MS is a plus.

+ Minimum of 5 – 7 years of relevant experience (may include post-graduate work)

+ PE or PE eligibility desired; having an AZ PE a plus

+ Demonstrated experience with engineering of multi-disciplined water/wastewater projects

+ Successful engineering project delivery

+ Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills have the ability to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously

+ Must possess clear verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports

+ Self-motivated, team-oriented, hardworking and intent on doing great work

+ Ability and willingness to travel to project sites in the US may be required. Approximately 5% overnight travel.

**Your Impact:**

+ Develop scope, costs, budgets and schedules for studies, design and construction services related to water & wastewater projects, including pipelines, pump stations & treatment plant works

+ Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection systems

+ Setup and perform hydraulic modeling for water and sewer systems

+ Work with CAD designers to prepare plans/drawings for water and wastewater infrastructure systems using industry-standard design platforms, such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit, etc. Ability to use CAD software is considered a plus

+ Check design computations and quantity estimates

+ Assist in client contact and communications pertaining to specific projects

+ Occasional field work and travel to project sites may be required. Approximately 5% overnight travel

+ Will work with and mentor junior staff

**Who You Are**

**Required Qualifications**

+ BS degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree. MS is a plus

+ PE required; AZ PE preferred

+ 10 years + of relevant experience

+ Demonstrated engineering experience in small or large sized, multi-disciplined water/wastewater projects, including responsibility for client interactions

+ Successful engineering project delivery with respect to scope, schedule, quality, and budget

+ Senior Engineer positioned to add project management to their responsibilities. Project management experience is a plus.

+ Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously

+ Excellent, clear and concise, verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations & prepare written reports

+ Collects water samples from raw, semi-processed or processed water, industrial waste water, or water from other sources to assess pollution problem.

+ Collects soil, silt, mud, or sediment samples to determine chemical composition and nature of pollutants.

+ Prepares samples for testing, records data, prepares summaries and charts for review, and develops a report detailing activities performed and results received.

+ Sets monitoring equipment to provide flow of information.

+ Installs, operates, and performs advanced maintenance on gas and fluid flow systems, chemical reaction systems, mechanical equipment, and other test instrumentation.

+ Assists with the installation of complex equipment and instrumentation including calibration and troubleshooting as needed.

+ Operates fixed or mobile monitoring or data collection station.

+ Conducts bacteriological or other tests related to research in environmental or pollution control activity.

+ Audits properties of samples collected to identify physical evidence of environmental releases.

+ May provide direction or support to less experienced Environmental Technicians.
