    **Your Opportunity**

    Your role will be to work independently on projects or as a team member on large projects. The projects may be complex, multi-disciplinary, and diverse in scope.     **Your Key Responsibilities**

    + Perform complex hydrologic and hydraulic studies, 1D and 2D hydraulic investigations, flood risk analysis, spillway sizing and dam break analysis.

    Job Summary

    Langan is seeking a Project Environmental Scientist, Geologist, Engineer or Hydrogeologist to join its collaborative team Phoenix, AZ. This individual will serve a key function in managing environmental investigation and remediation projects, delivering technically excellent services, preparing technical proposals and reports, conducting environmental research and analyses, supervising field investigations, and managing staff. In this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop both project management and staff management skills, interact with clients, and work on exciting small and large-scale projects.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects;

    + Manage and deliver on Phase I and Phase II ESAs;

    + Ensure QA/QC on work product;

    + Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects;

    + Supervise field activities and ensure correct interpretations of findings;

    + Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines;

    + Effectively organize, write and edit draft proposals, reports and other documents;

    + Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within an existing projects and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients;

    + Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments. Coach, train, and motivate staff assigned to Environmental projects. Participate in interviewing and hiring staff;

    + Coordinate other work groups across office locations and disciplines on an as-needed basis;

    + Interface effectively and professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, project personnel, supervisors, and others; and

    + Perform other duties as requested.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering; (Master’s degree a plus);

    + LEED AP or PE certification;

    + 6+ years of related work experience;

    + Proficient in environmental due diligence;

    + Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software. Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and technical analyses;

    + Hazwoper training, maintenance of annual physical and respirator fit test, and annual 8-hr. Hazwoper re-certification;

    + Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements;

    + Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills;

    + Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;

    + Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;

    + Ability to multi-task effectively, manage multiple projects and clients, develop and manage project budgets, and effectively manage and coach staff;

    + Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as projects require; and

    + Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
