Join us at Grand Canyon Education's College of Nursing and Health Care Professions and begin a career in helping Nursing students succeed as a Field Experience Counselor to coordinate key aspects of clinical and practicum activities. This position acts as a liaison to faculty members and students by performing the below duties. This position also offers remote work opportunities that may be approved for out-of-state candidates residing outside of Phoenix, AZ.
New hire training will encompass two full weeks of training. One week will be held in-person at our Phoenix, AZ campus, and the following week will be held virtually via Zoom.

As a Field Experience Counselor, a typical week might include the following:
+ Collects and tracks immunization and health and safety documentation required for clinical and practicum rotations.
+ Ensures students meet all required deadlines and notifies appropriate parties of non-compliance.
+ Communicates to students and faculty before documentation expires or a file becomes out of date.
+ Assists with placement of students in practicum, clinical rotations, including monitoring site issues.
+ Handles high volume of outbound and inbound student calls while meeting GCU customer service standards.
+ Establishes rapport and relationships with students.
+ Encourages students to ensure they are on track with meeting clinical and practicum requirements.
+ Works as part of a high-performance team and encourages and supports other team members.
+ Handles multiple priorities and tasks in an effective and efficient manner.

+ Bachelor’s Degree (highly preferred in marketing, education or business administration) OR 2 years’ related experience with a least 60 college credits completed.
+ 6 months related professional experience in higher education preferred.
+ Experience in healthcare settings preferred.

+ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, healthcare clients, students, and the general public.

Position Summary/Purpose:
Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking Junior Admission (NFWS) Support Counselors (JC) to reinforce the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's Student Contact Center. Junior Counselors will work closely with full-time University Admissions Counselors to assist with student registration, while providing additional assistance to support various student recruiting activities.
NOTE: The purpose of this position is to transition student workers to full-time employees upon graduation. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. Therefore, F-1 students will not be considered for this position. F-1 students may apply to other student worker positions.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
+ Effectively builds relationships and trust over the phone with students, parents, or high school administrators, who may not be familiar with GCU while sharing their GCU student experience.
+ Proficient use of University systems to execute multiple tasks for recruitment purposes.
+ Organizes time effectively so all prioritized work is completed in a timely manner and desired contact rates are achieved to ensure service quality.
+ Guiding prospective students through the free application and enrollment process to eliminate any obstacles or misunderstandings in the admissions process while assisting with the collection of admissions paperwork and other documents so student milestones are achieved.
+ Coordinate virtual and onsite visitations and meetings for University Admissions Counselors.
+ May serve as the first point of contact for prospective students inquiring about various collegiate programs of study while working directly with local and out of state potential students who have either graduated High School or are approaching their graduation date.

Qualifications:
+ Ideal candidate is highly motivated, with a passion for student success and GCU’s Christian mission.
+ Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to multitask throughout your shift.
+ Computer Skills: Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite; other systems knowledge desired.
+ Writing and Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
+ Monday - Saturday hours vary based on the semester and business needs. Hours of operation are typically Monday-Thursday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm, Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Saturday 9am-1pm with most positions staffed for our later afternoon shifts.
Experience/Education:

+ Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student (online or campus) in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
