The Mechanical Engineering Design, Integration & Test (DI&T) group is hiring for a Principal Engineer Aeronautical at our Chandler, AZ location. Engineers within the Advanced Programs product line work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, supporting key advances in complex missile system design and hypersonic technologies.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Based on specific stated objectives, performs analysis, design, or test of one or more complex materials, structural components or functional systems within a missile system or launch vehicle.
+ Apply a broad understanding of mechanical structural and thermal analysis principles to support product design.
+ Complete detailed mechanical design of parts and assemblies utilizing 3D CAD Software (Siemens NX) modeling, 2D drafting though Model Based Definition, and release through Teamcenter PLM.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes as they apply to Design for Manufacture (DFM)
+ Perform technical oversight of key suppliers including specification development, reviewing key deliverables, and supporting product maturation ensuring key system requirements are met.
+ Collaborating with analysis teams who are responsible for performing mass properties, structural, thermal, environments, and materials/processes reports.
+ Create, and deliver engineering briefings or reports to support design review activities.
+ Develop test programs as needed to evaluate system elements, such as materials, structural components, or complex systems to support Technology Maturation.
+ Manage test activities and test article fabrication, including documentation of results
+ Prepare, and present technical briefing to upper management and customer on design/test activities.

**Basic Qualifications:**
