**Responsibilities:**
+ Function as an integral member of the Regional Leadership Team supporting territory managers by demonstrating and conveying the value and benefits of our company's Animal Health portfolio through:
+ Preparation and delivery of technical lectures on our product line to key customers, strategic accounts, and professional veterinary organizations
+ Offering solutions that align with customer needs and business priorities
+ Partner with Regional Sales Manager to develop and execute effective business strategy to reach and exceed regional and organizational priorities for lasting success
+ Meet with key opinion leaders in both clinical and university settings to discuss our company's Animal Health portfolio as well as potential new business opportunities
+ Represent our company's Animal Health at veterinary schools and veterinary associations and conferences
+ Serve as the region’s technical expert, evaluating regional and individual technical training needs of the sales representatives and coaching sales representatives in technical selling skills
+ Collaborate with R&D, Learning and Development, Marketing, Veterinary Insights & Medical Affairs, and Sales to achieve organizational priorities
**Position Qualifications:**
**Education Minimum Requirement:**
+ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree
**Required Experience and Skills:**
+ Minimum 5 years experience in clinical companion animal veterinary practice
+ Ability to take complex issues and translate into easily comprehensible content for respective audiences
+ Experience presenting in front of a variety of audiences with different levels of medical knowledge
+ Excellent oral and written communications skills

**Job Description**
**SUMMARY OF POSITION**
The primary purpose of this position is to handle adverse drug events (ADE’s) and technical product inquiries reported into the business unit. In addition, this position may be involved in tracking complaints and developing trend analysis reports, reviewing and approving cases, and training new hires on products, and pharmacovigilance/compliance procedures. Pharmacovigilance Veterinarians are based remotely/home office. Schedule is 40 hours a week.
**MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Handle adverse drug events reported into the business unit –40%
+ Communicate with our company's Animal Health customers (primarily via telephone and email) to help resolve medical issues with patients experiencing adverse reactions or efficacy issues with our company's Animal Health Companion Animal products.
+ Document and enter complaints into the database in accordance with government and corporate policies and procedures.
+ Initiate product quality testing procedures when applicable.
+ Facilitate and consult on diagnostics.
+ Process product efficacy guarantee requests.
+ Negotiate reimbursement requests.
+ Communicate adverse event issues with the appropriate our company's Animal Health field representatives.
+ Handle technical inquiries on the product line – 20%
+ Review and approve cases – 25%
+ Provide training on our company's Animal Health products and pharmacovigilance procedures/compliance to Pharmacovigilance team.
+ PV procedure training may also be requested for marketing and sales forces – 0-5%

**ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE**
Reports directly to the PV Vet Leader, Companion Animal Business Unit
**Required experience and skills:**
+ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree
+ 3-5 years of private practice experience in a small or mixed-animal practice.
+ Current license to practice veterinary medicine, or has held one in the past but relinquished it due to lack of need in current position preferred.
+ Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry as a Pharmacovigilance Veterinarian preferred.
+ Excellent interpersonal and phone skills, with a strong commitment to Customer Service.
+ Computer literacy and strong comfort level working with databases. Preferred experience with Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
+ Compliance focused mindset and strong organizational skills.
+ The position is remotely based. The candidate will need to have a designated home office work space work equipped for remote work
