**Your Impact**
+ Work collaboratively with team members on water resources focused projects in mining, local government, transportation, and other sectors supporting our hydraulics and hydrology groups across the West region.
+ Will lead or perform hydrologic assessment, water balance modelling, stormwater management planning, erosion and sediment control planning, NPDES permit support studies and FEMA flood plain mapping.
+ Mentor and oversee the development of junior staff.
+ Travel to project sites and attend public meetings.
+ Lead business development and strategy planning
+ Project Management including scope, budget, schedule and resource management
+ Manage and coordinate project teams, including ensuring the technical quality of deliverables.

**Who You Are**
**Requirements**
+ BS in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or related engineering degree required, MS preferred.
+ PE preferred
+ Minimum 10 years + of hydrology / hydraulics and water resources experience
+ Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
+ Project management experience
+ Experience leading proposal management and development
+ Demonstrated success in business development and client management
+ Strong technical skills regarding hydrologic and hydraulic modelling approaches and commonly used software
+ Familiarity with the National Flood Insurance Program and FEMA flood insurance study regulations.
+ Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.

**Your Opportunity**
Your role will be to work independently on projects or as a team member on large projects. The projects may be complex, multi-disciplinary, and diverse in scope. You will perform a variety of complex tasks which may include hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, field work, civil engineering design, and coordination of tasks and personnel. Working in a team environment is considered essential. Your home office will be in Chandler, Arizona. While most of the work is anticipated in Arizona and the western US, projects may also be in other geographies where Stantec offers services.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform complex hydrologic and hydraulic studies, 1D and 2D hydraulic investigations, flood risk analysis, spillway sizing and dam break analysis.
+ Work with senior team members undertaking technical delivery of flood risk projects for local government agency and national agencies such as FEMA
