    Amazon’s ROC Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dispatch Operations Specialist lead to assist in the resolution of stakeholder issues of daily freight movements flowing into and out of our North American fulfillment centers and our associated fulfillment network. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team, and to have a positive impact on Amazon, our transportation partners and ultimately our customers. When network disruptions happen, you’ll be at the forefront of helping the network/transportation partners clear those issues and ensure our customers get shipments on time.

    An ideal candidate has a background in customer service/call center, transportation, and/or supply chain environments with excellent program management skills. They have the ability to pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize our processes and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment. Additionally, a passion for quickly providing solutions and resolution to challenges by using strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills is a must. Successful candidates will enjoy working in a fast-pace, high-volume environment with a lot of growth opportunity.     Key job responsibilities

    • Deliver outstanding carrier and driver experience/solutions, in a contact center environment, through researching, problem-solving, setting appropriate expectations and working within the Amazon Transportation network

    • Work in fast-paced environment, and adhere to schedules: start/stop, and breaks/lunches

    • Support workload surges and/or weather-related operations as needed to include working significant overtime during designated high-volume peaks

    • Use internal systems to gather data from multiple sources to support reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis (AAP, Reach, Decisiv, FMC & YMS)

    • Work with cross-functional teams. Use analytical skills to drive data-driven decision, and effectively communicate insights to others across Transportation Operations Management (TOM), Amazon Freight Partners (AFP), and Fleet.

    • Provide support to field teams in driver assignment, load acceptance and driver/equipment availability

    Basic Qualifications

    - High school or equivalent diploma

    - Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements

    - Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

    - Must be able work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required

Grand Canyon University is seeking a full time Dispatcher for our Public Safety Department. The Dispatcher works to support the university community by providing various services and programs that contribute to maintaining campus safety and security. This individual operates the communications center receiving emergency and non-emergency calls, after-hours requests, monitoring computerized alarm and access control systems, providing police and EMS dispatch and radio communication management.

    This position must be able to work various shifts including; daytime, evening, night shifts and holidays.

    What you will do:

    + Receive, record and relay information for service by telephone and two-way radio in CAD.

    + Records detailed information in logs as required. Maintains officer assignments and dispatches officers based on location in a timely manner to assist in deterring potential criminal activity for emergency situations requiring officer response.

    + Responsible for dispatching requested calls for service during the tour of duty which includes the following:

    + Prevention and suppression of crime.

    + Protection of life and property.

    + Apprehension and protection of offenders.

    + Preservation of the peace and maintenance of order.

    + Enforcement of all state statues and University and housing regulations.

    + Check to ensure information for field officers are available so only authorized persons are admitted to buildings and monitors controlled access areas.

    + Document disturbances and incidents and communicates with local law-enforcement during emergency situations. Cooperates with campus staff and external law enforcement agencies conducting investigations.

    What you will need:

    + High school diploma, or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university in criminal justice, police science, public administration, political science or similar discipline is preferred.

    + Experience in 911 / Dispatch Center preferred.

    + Ability to type 40 WPM preferred.

    + Experienced with Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management System, Criminal Justice.

    + Demonstrates a high degree of ethical behavior and adheres to the standards and regulations of the university and legal environment.

    + Good communications and interpersonal skills; ability to speak Spanish or other non-English language including American Sign Language is helpful.

    + Information Systems terminals, computerized alarm monitoring systems, computerized access control systems or other computer or technical systems.

    + Knowledgeable of and ability to accurately interpret applicable federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations.

    + Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and daily responsibilities.

    + Demonstrates good judgment and excellent conflict resolution/mediation skills.

    + Certifications in CPR, First Aid and First Responder are preferred.

    + Valid Arizona Driver's license in good standing; must be insurable.

    + Must successfully pass a drug test.

    **Job Summary**

    This position assists the Package Dispatch Supervisor (PDS) with dispatch analysis and daily routine tasks that support the dispatch and preload teams. He/She is responsible for analyzing dispatch plans, identifying areas of opportunity, report publication and service audits.

    **Responsibilities:**

    + Verifies system downloads.

    + Identifies various service failures and exceptions.

    + Prints and distributes multiple daily reports.

    + Makes necessary report updates and communicates changes to PDS.

    + Utilizes mapping tools.

    + Plots previous data and compares actual dispatch to planned dispatch.

    + Maintains a loop analysis to ensure periodic analysis of all loops.

    + Utilizes available reports and systems.

    + Completes monthly dispatch audit.

    **Qualifications:**

    + Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred

    + Dispatch Planning System (DPS) and UDC knowledge

    + Experience using Microsoft Office products or equivalent software

    + Customer-focused with strong planning and organization skills

    + Familiar with package flow technologies - Preferred

    The Global Security Operation Center (GSOC) is a dynamic organization that serves as a resource and Communication hub within Security and Fire, to improve the safety and security of people, property, information, and business operations worldwide. The highly skilled Emergency Dispatch team supports Security and Fire operations and enables production across the domestic United States (US), we deliver this unique capability through our exceptional talent.

    The GSOC is a 24/7/365 operations center. This position requires the ability to work a rotating schedule to include night shifts.

    Position Responsibilities:

    * Responsible for answering and entering emergency calls while simultaneously dispatching for and monitoring multiple fire and security radio channels with moderate to high volume radio traffic

    * Provide approved Pre-Arrival Instructions according to policies and procedures

    * Make required and requested notifications

    * Perform in a team environment

    * Support training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) formulation as needed

    Under close supervision, prioritizes and dispatches emergency repair crews and communicates with operators, maintenance planners and supervisors to coordinate daily preventative maintenance operations at assigned site.
