Job Description:

The CNC Machine Operator performs semi-repetitive specialized machine operations. Provides technical assistance to production associates, while following safety policy and procedures.

Responsibilities:

* Assists in setting up complex production equipment and conducts tests, analyses and calibrates assemblies in accordance with company policy and safety procedures

* Installs, maintains, and operates a variety of machining tools including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, etc.

* Diagnoses problems, disassembles, determines extent of repair necessary and/or feasibility of repairs, refits or replaces worn or defective parts and reassembles

* Makes ordinary replacements of new parts and/or complete new assemblies and selects materials, plans and performs machining operations on new or replacement parts

* Works to specifications, from both oral and written instructions, sketches, blueprints, engineering drawings and manuals with little supervision

* Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work overtime and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

* Adheres to and supports safety policy and procedures.

**What You Will Do**

+ Sets up and operates conventional and CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machines on proved-in complex precision production parts that are produced from materials varying from standard to exotic.

+ Must maintain quality of set ups using skills that require a comprehensive knowledge of tools, tool geometry, feeds, speeds, and blueprint/ planning.

+ Utilizing project and SIE (Standard Inspection Equipment) to ensure quality assurance while performing machining operations.

+ Performs the removal of burrs and sharp edges on any metallic and nonmetallic fabricated parts.

+ Must maintain acceptable finishes and hold part tolerances as specified by blueprint/planning requirements using a variety of manual and power equipment.

The Daisy Brand Machine Operator, also referred to as the Packaging Technician, has the primary responsibility of product staging, machine set up, operating, cleaning, and sanitizing the filling machines. The operator will work in a team of 3-6 people who manage the filling and packaging of sour cream and cottage cheese.

Principal Duties:

+ Set up, troubleshoot, operate, and change over automated filler, box forming, and packing equipment.

Key responsibilities for this position include

Packaging Machine Operator

+ Operate yogurt packaging machines according to standard operating procedures, including set up and adjustment of machine settings before production runs.

+ Monitor and control all filling weight, codes, seals, and lids/cups throughout the packaging cycle including the palletizer and case pushers.

+ Perform code and weight checks at specified intervals during the packaging run.

+ Perform routine maintenance tasks on yogurt production equipment, such as cleaning, sanitizing, and replacing parts, to ensure optimal performance and food safety compliance.
