As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service), you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment in a safe and professional manner. **What you'll do:**

+ Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems

+ Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner

+ Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed

+ Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis

+ Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts

+ Other duties assigned as needed

**Requirements:**

+ High School diploma or equivalent

+ Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

+ 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools

+ Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools

+ Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines

As a Shop Foreman, you’ll assist in leading a maintenance enterprise. You’ll ensure Service Technicians, equipment and materials are utilized properly to maximize productivity. You’ll continually improve efficiency and customer satisfaction, by ensuring equipment is properly maintained and repaired. You will work closely with the Service/Branch Manager, and help build a profitable location with your leadership, service and maintenance knowledge. **What you'll do:**

+ Coordinate the activities of Service Technicians

+ Train and supervise mechanical personnel when necessary

POSITION SUMMARY: With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician B performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks including, but not limited to, chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies and control systems, hydraulic electrical, air brake systems, general engine work, HVAC components, suspension, drive train and steering systems. The Maintenance Technician B may also perform basic tire work, such as replacement, tire rotation, and tread depth checks. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains a working knowledge of, and moderate skill proficiency in, the following vehicle components and systems, with the ability to perform preventative and repair maintenance functions, both on-site and on the road.

+ Chassis component repair and maintenance.
