The Role
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Swiss CNC Machinist 3rd Shift to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Mesa.
The key responsibilities of this Swiss CNC Machinist 3rd Shift include, but are not limited to:
+ Is knowledgeable in Screw / Swiss / Sliding headstock CNC machining and secondary equipment
+ Assists Production Supervisors with all aspects of KPI requirements. (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost)
+ Active participant and advocate of Lean and 5S culture company wide
+ Follows "in-process" quality inspections and works with team members to ensure total quality
+ Aids in feedback to planning and engineering to optimize productivity
+ Provides translation service for team members when required
+ Ensure usage of correct gaging, hand measuring tools & metrology equipment to deliver the highest possible quality components for our customers
+ Read and understand job layouts, blueprints, schematics and work from written and verbal job instructions on operations

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Swiss CNC Machinist 3rd Shift at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
+ Minimum 2 years of lathe production experience on CNC and related production equipment
+ Cam style Escomatic, Tornos – Bechler experience is a plus as well as multispindle machining
+ Familiar with batch heat treating, and annealing special alloys as well as Nadcap Certification is preferred
+ Strict time management with self and other employees to support a productive work environment. This includes providing hourly production stats to shift supervisor and implementing quick corrective actions to help team members reach their goals

REQUIREMENTS :
+ HS Diploma or GED
+ NIMS/Journeyman/Trade School Certification preferred
+ 4 or more years of experience with CNC and Conventional machines and equipment
+ Knowledge of product quality concepts, ISO principles, and GD&T
+ Intermediate computer skills, including SAP or similar ERP systems and MS Office

+ This position is approximately 60% running multiple machines and 40% setups and support of operators

What You Will Do
+ Performs the set up and prove-in of complex precision production hardware and potential pre-production engineering hardware with the UPMF (Ultra Precision Machine Fabrication).
+ Produce products out of materials ranging from standard to exotic utilizing all types of CNC (computer numerically controlled) and conventional machines.
+ Determines the functional adequacy and efficiency of machines and tooling to fabricate parts to defined specifications.

As a Machinist Level II here at Honeywell's Phoenix OEM facility, you will play a vital role in operating and maintaining our machining equipment to produce high-quality parts and components for the aviation industry. Your expertise in machining and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our engines OEM operations.
You will report directly to our Machining Supervisor and work on-site at our Phoenix location.
In this role, you will have a direct impact on the efficiency and productivity of our Engines OEM site by operating and maintaining our machining equipment to meet the strict quality standards and customer requirements of the aviation industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set up and operate Balance to perform machining operations according to specifications
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet the stringent quality standards and specifications of the aviation industry
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

YOU MUST HAVE
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings specific to aviation components
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
WE VALUE
• Technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field
• Experience with programming and editing CNC programs for aviation components
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application in aviation repair and overhaul
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience in the aviation industry or FAA Repair and overhaul environment
• A&P License (Airframe and Powerplant License) is a plus
• Experience with SAP ERP systems is a plus

MILLS Machinist III- 2nd SHIFT
Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Loads, Unloads, Starts, and Stops Machines.
+ Sets the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process.
+ Watches gauges, dials, and other key indicators to make sure machines are working properly and work-pieces meet quality standards.
+ Monitors machines during operation in order to detect dull cutting tools and excessive vibration.
+ Measures dimensions of finished work-pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
+ Calculates and sets machine movements according to drawing specs.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
+ Knowledge of basic hand tools, including their uses and maintenance.
+ Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.
+ Ability to control the operations of machining equipment and systems.
+ Basic mathematics knowledge, particularly Trigonometry.
Education and Experience:

+ Crane/Hoist Operator Certification.
