**Responsibilities**

Join the Gregory W. Fulton ALS and Neuromuscular Disease Center at the world-renowned Barrow Neurological Institute as a Clinical Research Patient Navigator. In this vital role you will work closely with a dedicated and passionate team committed to advancing ALS research. Your primary responsibility will be to connect directly with individuals living with ALS and their families guiding them through local and national clinical research opportunities including expanded access studies. As a key member of the ALS clinic’s multidisciplinary team you will attend research clinics collaborate with outreach team members and partner with both external community organizations and internal marketing teams. Your efforts will help improve access to clinical research for everyone affected by ALS. **Qualifications**

1 year of patient care or related experience requirements.

Previous experience working in clinical research.

Experience in working with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace systems

Familiar with clinical and medical terminology to enable effective interactions and communications with patients, caregivers and clinicians as well as understanding of the importance of directing clinical questions to licensed professionals when necessary.

Education

Associates or Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.

Special Skills

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, skills; and familiarity with clinical and medical terminology.

High degree of sensitivity and compassion.

Knowledge of and compliance with institutional, DOH, JCAHO, HIPAA, and other regulatory bodies’ standards

**Pay Range**

$30.55 - $44.30 /hour
