CNC Machinist

Started in the back of a garage in 1989, Metal Works evolved to a small aerospace machine shop specializing in job/batch production. Our goal is to provide precision quality work to our customers quickly and economically as possible.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Hurco CNC machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
- Proficient in operating CNC machines and related equipment
- Strong knowledge of Mastercam, SolidWorks and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with basic math calculations for measurements and dimensions
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
