The City of Chandler City Manager Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Fleet Services Senior Technician - CDL.This is a full-time position with benefits scheduled to work Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM.

Who we are
The City of Chandler Fleet Services Division consists of a team of 12 that include Senior Fleet Technicians, support staff, and management. We support over 1200 vehicles and equipment that the city owns and operates. We are a progressive and innovative team that strives to meet our customer’s needs, deliver quality services, and support of the City of Chandler’s mission, vision, and values.

Minimum qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED and vocational/technical training or coursework in electronics, communication equipment and systems or communication theory; and
• 3 years of experience as skilled automotive mechanic including some experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty construction equipment; and
• A/C Refrigerant Recovery Certification; and
• ASE Certification; must possess a complete set of mechanical hand tools; and
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record; and
• Class B Commercial Driver's License within 6 months of hire or promotion; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment DOT drug and alcohol test and a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.
