As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will be part of a team that designs, develops & integrates cutting-edge Next Generation Avionics (NGA) solutions across various aircraft platforms. In this role, you will play an important role in guiding the development and implementation of Avionics simulation technologies. You will collaborate with internal Avionics product teams and our Flight Simulators group that supports customers, end users and manufacturers of flight simulation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Systems, Hardware, and Software Engineering to develop and integrate Avionics solutions for NGA (Next Generation Avionics) programs
+ Interface with internal Flight Simulation and next-gen Avionics product teams, Simulator manufacturers and customers to implement simulation technologies.
+ Provide technical expertise and guidance to facilitate the successful execution of avionics programs
+ Work with external customers providing full flight simulations for avionics products
+ Collaborate with Software teams that develop cockpit simulation tools, avionics software integration & testing, and communications technologies for display hardware and flight training solutions.
+ Manage project timelines and customer commitments
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
+ 5+ years in a System Engineering or a similar role in the Avionics space or related
WE VALUE
+ Excellent problem-solving, trouble shooting, and decision-making abilities
+ Experience with Flight Simulation technologies is of value
+ OR Experience with integrated Avionics (or related products) e.g. Flight Mgmt, Flight Planning, Flight Controls, Flight Displays (PFD) , Traffic Collision Avoidance (TCAS), Crew Alert Messaging (CAS), Terrain, Communications, etc
+ Experience with system requirements development and management
+ Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
