**Where You Will Work **

Climax Molybdenum is the world’s leading producer of molybdenum and has a long, successful history of doing business safely, efficiently and responsibly. We have operated in Colorado for more than 100 years, with mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmling and Empire. Our Climax Mine is located between Frisco and Leadville – the seat of Lake County and the highest incorporated city in the United States.

Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.

**Description**

Under close supervision, performs a variety of patrol, security, and emergency response and customer service duties at assigned location.

+ Greets and logs in all visitors and vendors at entrance gate

+ Notifies appropriate personnel or department of arrival

+ Directs visitors and vendors to destination

+ Enforces company policies and procedures

+ Performs frequent patrols of the property

+ Walks or drives vehicle on irregularly scheduled rounds of property

+ Observes conditions of equipment, grounds and facilities

+ Reports damages or areas in need of repair to security supervisor or safety person on call

+ Conducts surveillance of locations or areas in which vandalism or criminal activities have been noted

+ Assists with and trained for emergency situations

+ Collaborates with police officers in the prevention of crime

+ Works with fire response units for fire suppression, and with medical emergency response units in the event of emergency situations, at the assigned location

+ Provides basic life support, and if qualified, advanced life support and/or paramedic services to patients including CPR and monitoring of vital signs, when needed

+ Communicates with hospitals to provide emergency care

+ Controls transfer of patients to medical facilities

+ Writes incident reports for calls attended and maintains appropriate logs

+ May provide instruction to general public on First Aid or CPR

+ Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Current certification as an EMT is required

+ Skilled in responding appropriately to emergency and conflict situations

+ Knowledge of site rules, regulations, policies and procedures and knowledgeable of the site topography and locations of emergency equipment and access points

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

+ Proficiency in the operation of a personal computer to include Microsoft applications

**Preferred**

+ High School diploma or GED

**Criteria/Conditions**

+ Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

+ Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

+ Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

+ Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms

+ Occasionally may be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds during the course of the work day

+ May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation

+ Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

+ Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws

**What We Offer You**

The estimated pay range for this role is currently ** $17.50 - $23.50/hour.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. **What We Require **
