LINUX Systems Administrator Senior

HOW A LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

+ Maintain daily operation and incident resolution of virtual machines, operating systems, and applications to provide optimum performance and system availability

+ Troubleshoot and resolve system-related incidents detected during monitoring, by other technical teams, and by users

+ Provide Tier 2 or 3 support in an enterprise level, globally distributed environment

+ Install, rebuild, configure, maintain, administer, and document UNIX and Linux systems, software, systems-related products, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.

+ Conduct routine maintenance tasks on systems for proactive monitoring such as space usage, deleting log files, dump files, and error correcting

+ Create, document, and implement repeatable processes to install, test, upgrade, maintain, and patch system environments and its software

+ Develop, recommend, document, implement, and maintain system management policies, procedures, and standards

+ Create, modify, delete, and document user accounts

+ Complete and maintain DISA STIGs

+ Have the desire and aptitude for learning and rapidly mastering new applications and technology

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

+ Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience

+ Certification: 8570 Certification: IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP); AND Computing Environment Certification: RHCSA, Unix+ or equivalent within 6 months of hire

+ Unix/Linux/Sun/Solaris

+ Red Hat System Administration

+ Knowledge of Red Hat Open Stack

+ PERL Scripting

+ Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of Microsoft Visio

+ Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience skill sets required**

+ Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance.

+ Required Skills and Abilities: Red Hat Admin, STIGs

+ Location: On Customer Site, Fort Huachuca, AZ

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
