To help patients. Position Summary: The Accounting Clerk is responsible for daily transactional accounting such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections support, and reconciliations. This position also supports vendor maintenance and expense reporting. As a hybrid role, this position will periodically be required to work onsite to perform back-up responsibilities for TD2's office manager. Essential Functions: Act as an Office Manager backup including, but not limited to: * Managing outgoing shipments from various departments. * Supporting the coordination and set up of all meetings held at TD2. * Assisting with the administrative needs of various TD2 committees upon request. * Triage daily guest and employee needs as they arise. * Managing security protocols: Maintaining a current list of key and security badge holders and provide keys/badges to personnel as needed. Collect keys/badges when guests leave. * Opening and sorting incoming mail as needed. * Answering telephone and maintaining voicemail. Accounting Activities * Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. * Responsible for vendor maintenance. * Responsible for non-project related accounts payable. * Investigate and solve vendor inquiries and disputes. * Assist with collection responsibilities as needed. * Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, following up on questions and discrepancies as needed. * Prepare bank deposits. * Prepare weekly check run. * Daily enter key data of financials transactions in database. * Assist with the preparation of regularly scheduled reports. * Research, track and restore accounting or documentations problems and discrepancies. * Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws. Job Requirements: * Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education at TD2's discretion. * A minimum of 1 years' experience specific to the position responsibilities is required. Required Specialized/Technical Skills: * Requires basic employment skills in clerical, service, or manual areas. * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. * Attention to detail and deadlines. * Demonstrated analytical skills and effective problem-solving capabilities. * Ability to work independently and within a team environment. * Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships and credibility both internally and externally. * Ability to follow work direction given by others. * Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles and practices. * Working knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. * Understanding of MS Outlook for email and calendar maintenance.
