Technical Product Specialist

We allow machines to visually communicate with humans. At Focus LCDs, we provide displays and touchscreens to OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) worldwide. Come join our team and make cool products that you will be able to see everywhere in the real world. Whether it’s in a vending machine, at the doctor’s office, or in your favorite athlete’s hands, our LCDs are the face of electronic devices all over the world.

We’ve made the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest growing companies for the past two years and have been recognized two years in a row on the Sun Devil 100’s list of fastest growing ASU graduate led companies—proof of our ongoing growth and entrepreneurial spirit.

We are seeking a Technical Product Specialist to help guide new product opportunities from the first inquiry through successful product selection. You will serve as the initial point of contact for clients, qualify new projects, and advise on the most suitable display and touchscreen technologies. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a diverse role, has a passion for learning technical concepts, and wants to start building a career in a small business where you can make a real impact.

Responsibilities
• Conduct discovery calls with new and prospective clients to gather project requirements.
• Learn our product offerings (LCDs, touchscreens, and related technologies) and advise clients on the best possible solutions for their needs.
• Research industry standards and certification requirements (medical, industrial, etc.) for client projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams (production, engineering, sales) to ensure a smooth project handoff and strong client follow-up.
• Maintain clear documentation of project opportunities, technical discussions, and client feedback.
• Engage in continuous training to deepen your knowledge of LCD technology, electronics product development, and our manufacturing capabilities.

Must Haves
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
• Eagerness to learn about display technology, electronics, and technical solutions.
• Ability to handle diverse responsibilities—from client discussions to basic technical research.
• Organized and detail-oriented mindset; capable of managing multiple projects at various stages.
• Ambition and motivation to grow in a role that blends sales, technology, and design management.

Nice to Have
• An associate or bachelor’s degree (not necessarily in engineering—any field where you learned to communicate clearly, think critically, or solve problems).
• Some exposure to electronics, product design, or manufacturing, even if only from personal projects or coursework.
• Experience using any CRM or project management software.

What Makes Us Special
• No homework! We never ask anyone to work weekends or stay late. We expect your best efforts on site—and zero work off-hours.
• We can do it. We approach every project with the belief that no endeavor is too difficult. If you have an idea, you’ll see the whole team work to make it a reality.
• Growth-oriented environment. You’ll receive extensive training on LCD technology, manufacturing processes, and industry certifications. We encourage continual learning through hands-on experience and mentoring.
• Small business impact. You aren’t just another number here. You’ll work closely with leadership and see how your efforts directly drive company success.

If you’re excited by the prospect of blending sales, design management, and deep technical training—and want to shape the future of how machines visually communicate with the world—then we want to hear from you!

Send your resume and a brief note on why you’d be a great fit.
