**_What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health_**

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

**_Responsibilities_**

+ Support our SAP platform and ensure that we leverage the power of technology to its fullest potential.

+ Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues and develop and deliver solutions based on system analysis and user requirements.

+ Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement while staying up to date with the latest technological trends and industry best practices.

+ Drive SAP Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) including archiving, data purging, and related tools and processes.

+ Drive the successful scaling of our current SAP DevOps initiatives to optimize the experience and productivity of developers and other users.

+ Explore and drive technical change and innovation in SAP including exploring SAP futures on S/4, RISE and BTP.

+ Provide engineering support for large projects.

+ Collect and assess technical data in support of platform engineering work prioritization including system performance and Hana database growth trends.

+ Support and maintain the existing implementations of PO, Portal, NWDI, Biller Direct and XREF.

+ Drive ASAPIO implementations.

**_Qualifications_**

+ 8-12 years of experience, preferred

+ Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

+ Strong SAP ABAP and other Application Development experience on SAP.

+ Experience in Java development.

+ Experience with APIs and integrations.

+ Experience with PO, Portal, NWDI, and ASAPIO.

+ Experience with SAP running in the cloud, especially Google Cloud.

+ Experience with SAP archiving.

+ Strong SAP performance tuning experience.

+ Solid grasp of SAP technical architectures.

+ An understanding of SAP Hana and UI5.

+ Experience in Fiori and Workflow development across SAP modules.

+ Familiarity with Basis Technologies ActiveControl, DevOps automation is a plus.

+ SAP functional experience is a plus.

**Anticipated salary range:** $121,600 - $173,700
