**Maintenance Technician**

**Job Description**

The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment, machinery, and facilities, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

**Responsibilities**

+ Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.

+ Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.

+ Plan repair work using blueprints, equipment manuals, or schematics as needed.

+ Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.

+ Repair drywall, paint, and repair doors and other building fixtures.

+ Perform routine maintenance on building systems.

+ Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities.

+ Order supplies and materials needed for repairs.

+ Other tasks as directed by supervisors.

**Essential Skills**

+ Mechanical skills.

+ Preventive maintenance expertise.

+ Electrical knowledge.

+ Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.

+ Troubleshooting abilities.

+ PLC troubleshooting skills.

+ Facility maintenance experience.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.

+ Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.

+ Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

+ Electrical background with 3-phase and 2-phase systems.

+ Experience with electric and hydraulic transfers/rollers.

+ Experience with VFD systems on overhead cranes.

**Work Environment**

Work inside and outside of a large structural steel production facility in El Mirage, AZ. The facility features swamp coolers and fans for somewhat climate-controlled conditions, is well-organized, and continually adds new lines. Dress code includes T-shirts and merch, with a boot voucher provided.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
