**What you will do**

In this role, you will lead the engineering team responsible for data solutions at Teradata. You will drive innovation and ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers. Success in this role means achieving excellence in product development, fostering a collaborative team environment, and making a significant contribution to the company's growth. In addition, you will,

+ Lead large, globally distributed engineering teams responsible for Teradata’s cloud-first data foundation.

+ Drive the adoption of CI/CD, DevSecOps, and agile development across engineering teams.

+ Evolve architecture to support open table formats (Iceberg/Delta), vectorized execution, and AI/ML model integration.

+ Foster a high-performance, inclusive engineering culture built on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

+ Champion platform modernization, including microservices, Kubernetes, data fabric, and GenAI enablement.

**Who you will work with**

On our team, we value collaboration and teamwork. You will work closely with a diverse group of talented engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders. The engineering team plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining Teradata's data solutions. This position reports to product engineering leadership and will,

+ Lead Engineering delivery across Teradata’s data platform, including Vantage Cloud and VantageCore, data access layers, data movement, and cloud-native services.

+ Collaborate with Security, Customer Success, and GTM to ensure platform readiness for enterprise scale, compliance, and customer needs.

+ Partner with Product Management to shape and execute the roadmap for VantageCloud and data innovation at scale.

**What makes you a qualified candidate**

+ 15+ years of engineering leadership in data infrastructure, databases, or large-scale distributed systems.

+ 3+ years in a VP or equivalent role managing large-scale global engineering teams.

+ Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

**What you will bring**

+ Proven success in leading cloud-native platform development with multi-cloud and hybrid deployment strategies.

+ Deep experience with modern data architecture, including open data formats (Iceberg, Delta), streaming (Kafka), and query engines (Trino, Presto, Spark).

+ Strong understanding of AI/ML infrastructure, model lifecycle integration, and data observability.

+ Track record of transforming legacy systems into modern, API-first, service-based platforms.

+ Demonstrated ability to scale engineering practices using Agile, CI/CD pipelines, and security-first development.

+ Experience in enterprise software delivery with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.

+ Excellent cross-functional leadership, influencing, and communication skills.

Pay Rate: 239500.0000 - 299300.0000 - 359200.0000 Annually

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience. Sales roles will be eligible for commission payments tied to quota achievement. All other permanent roles will be eligible for one of our annual incentive plans, which are based on company financial attainment and individual performance.
