The Associate Trust Accounting Manager oversees the financial operations of trust funds, managing accuracy and timely provision of trust accounting, external financial and regulatory ensuring compliance with accounting standards and management reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end GL close process and prepares reports and analysis of financial results as required

• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations

• Develop and own trust accounting processes and policies within the organization

• Manage key reporting functions, including SLA's, management reporting, and variance explanations

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements

• Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements in accounting practices and reporting procedures

• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Interact with external auditors (financial and regulatory), as required, to help ensure they are satisfied with all reporting, compliance and control practices

• Actively lead department optimization efforts and suggests enhancements in processes and procedures to increase efficiency

• Drive the discovery, implementation, rollout, and troubleshoot processes for complex issues/reoccurring problems

• Participate as accounting subject matter expert on technology projects, primarily responsible for testing of both accounting functionality and downstream accounting reporting data requirements

• Work cross functionally to streamline process

• Special projects as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and treasury functions

• Team Lead to Entry-Level Managerial Experience

• Able to foster a positive team environment and collaborate to produce outstanding result

• Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Tax / Payroll / Accounting /Treasury/ Banking or Customer Service experience

• Experience working with payroll tax filing systems

• Strong project management skills including superior organization, planning, and follow through.

• Strong team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; highly proficient in Excel

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

The pay range for this position is $78,800.00 to $113,300.00, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
