Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for a **Staff Systems Engineer- Weapon System Integration Lead** to support the **Glide Phase Interceptor Program** within the **Launch Vehicles** business unit in **Chandler, Arizona** .

**The Staff System Engineer will**

+ Lead an integrated product team tasked with implementing missile design interfaces to the overall weapon system in alignment with customer objectives and constraints

+ Partner with external organizations to understand weapon system capabilities and requirements for the launch vehicle.

+ Develop and balance performance requirements between missile and weapon system

+ Perform trade studies to optimize missile engagement sequence and performance relative to weapon system input parameters

**Basic Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of experience, or a PhD and 8 years of experience.

+ Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance

+ Weapon System experience Spanning Program Lifecycle from Requirements Development through PDR, CDR to Production

**Salary Range:** $142,500 - $213,700

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. **What You’ll Do:**

+ Determine recommended automation system solutions, work with Project Managers to develop migration roadmaps, program plans, and implementation cost estimates, and work with Business Development Managers to develop/deliver proposals

Provide network engineering, management, network infrastructure services and solutions, and support for daily operations and project work in a fast-paced IT environment at our client’s site. **The Role**

The MDM Support Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality technical and configuration management support for the U.S. Army IMCOM G9 Child and Youth Services (CYS) Commercial Enterprise Network (CEN).

**The Main Responsibilities**

Key Responsibilities

Electro-Mechanical CPCS Production, Vendor, and Quality Management

+ Management of Class 2 and Class 1 drawing and BOM changes.

+ Customer technical white papers, safety assessments, and technical communication. Resolution of manufacturing, vendor, and quality issues impacting smooth delivery of CPCS product.

+ Updates/improvement routing and MOT (manufacturing operation and tooling).

+ Daily coordination with non-Honeywell contract manufacturing and support organizations (Celestica, KBR).

+ Manage IRB, HSR, transitions from inception to closure.

+ Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical and electromechanical production test equipment to maintain and support production targets.

Test Integration

+ Experience in HW/SW design, Test equipment design, HW/SW integration, and test.

+ Closed-loop testing, circuit analysis, circuit troubleshoot, and RCCA.

+ Write test cases and procedure/scripts for requirement validation (Python).

+ Perform validation tests and write analysis reports (HMATS).

+ Validate development SW packages and modifications to customer requirements.

+ Integrate system-level test equipment, electronic/mechanical hardware, and software.

Model Based Development

+ Basic understanding of Requirements Based Management (ARP4754, DOORs, PTS).

+ Basic understanding of model-based development tools (HAM, Beacon).

+ Able to generate basic control models and simulations (MatLab/Simulink).

+ Able to understand and run advanced model simulations.

Engineering Documentation / Process

+ Familiarity with basic engineering development process (IPDS per AP-1235 or equiv). Able to independently write technical documents (qualification documents, design review material, acceptance test reports).

+ Able to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, interface drawings, and trees (PDM).

+ Familiarity with PDM ECR/ECO initiation and review process.

+ Able to define and estimate System Engineering tasks needed to support efforts associated with new programs/scope changes.

General

+ Familiarity with aerospace industry specifications (DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754, ARP4761, Mil-spec).

+ Familiarity with FAA and other aircraft certification processes (FAR Part 23, 25).

+ Understanding of Aircraft Cabin Pressure and/or Environmental Control Systems.

+ Interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with cross-functional disciplines as well as suppliers, vendors, and customers.

+ Understanding of System Safety Analysis and Functional Hazard Assessment.

Must Have

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

+ 5-7 years in Aerospace systems design, production build, vendor management, test equipment design, SW/HW test integration, certification.

+ Design, Manufacturing, and Test experience preferred.

+ Team Center drawing management, Test equipment, and test SW experience.

+ Customer technical requirements management experience, using formal tracking systems (DOORS, PTS, Clearcase).
