At TPL, our Wet Utilities PipeLayer performs skilled journey-level work to install, troubleshoot, and maintain underground wet utility piping systems.

**Amentum** is seeking a **Industrial Maintenance Mechanic III - Plumber** to join our operations & maintenance team.

Typical work schedule will vary based on business demand. This position is responsible for providing an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing repairs to fixtures and systems in a manufacturing environment.

Working under minimal supervision as a member of a self-directed work team, this is a multi-craft position that may perform machine repairs and general non-licensed maintenance work, as well as support other licensed trades as directed. Requires good working knowledge of all types and applications of equipment pertaining to maintenance and operations for assigned area, and the ability to work within machine tolerances. General maintenance, including minor duties in carpentry, painting, and sheet metal, may also be required.

The **Industrial Maintenance Mechanic III - Plumber** must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required.

Responsibilities:

+ Determine the location for and type, size and amount of material required, considering such factors as volume, pressure, temperature and type of substance being piped.

+ Lay out, construct, install, rebuild, maintain, repair, adjust, modify and test plumbing systems such as water, drain lines, lawn and fire sprinkler systems, etc.

+ Assist in the maintenance and repair of underground sewer and water systems.

+ Provides O&M related services for latrines and the water works system for structures including pre-existing and portable containers.

+ Performs O&M plumbing consisting of all materials and labor from the first valve and manhole to the building including all plumbing fixtures and piping contained within, and outside the building.

+ Performs planned maintenance on all building equipment and related services for specific area while being sensitive and responsive to customer needs.

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Pipefitters to work in our Project located at Deer Valley.

**As a Mechanical Pipefitters, you will contribute to our team by:**

**Qualifications:**

+ Pay rate is determined on current level of knowledge and experience

+ Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications

+ Able to create a safe working environment, and understands OSHA regulations

+ Ability to take off and communicate tool and material requirements to the supervisor

+ Must have experience setting mechanical equipment including boilers, pumps, expansion tanks, dirt/air separators, and heat exchanges

+ Ability to set up and perform piping tests

+ Must have reliable transportation to job-site.

+ Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well with others

+ Ability to identify potential issues during installation and elevate them to Foreman/Gen Foreman

+ Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Job Summary:

Jobs will be in the Peoria area. Our company builds water and wastewater treatment plants. We offer competitive pay, benefit package including two weeks paid vacation. Responsible for removal and installation of old and new pipe configurations. Working with engineer and on-site superintendent to make sure installation is done in a safe and timely manner. Have the ability to work in a team environment.

Daily Activities:

+ Rigging

+ Pipe fitting

+ Cutting, assembling and installing pipes

+ Repairing malfunctions

+ Testing pipe systems to ensure safety and functionality

+ Grading

+ Excavation

+ Concrete

+ Compaction

Experience:

+ General Construction experience

+ Pipefitting

+ Layout

+ Water and wastewater experience preferred but not necessary

+ Working on multiple pipe systems including, Ductile Iron, PVC, HDPE, Copper, etc

Working Conditions:

100% of the time is spent on the project.
