Work with various welding machines and equipment as a part of a welding assembly line. Operate welding equipment for end prep of pipe using techniques such as Stick, Mig, Wire, Air Arc, Trackwork, and Plasma

**Primary Responsibilities and Duties**
• Operates, preps, and sets various welding machines which includes Robot, NAP, and Cypress.
• Works on will-call orders to layout specifications
• Handles pipes and materials weighing up to 50 lbs; at times lifting repetitively and/or shuffling materials down an assembly line onto a layout table, welding stand, or cart/dolly
• Performs air pressure test and visual inspections on welded piping to assure quality products
• Uses basic reading and writing skills to interpret layout plans and labels
• Works in a warehouse environment in hot and cold weather conditions, and with exposure to sparks and glares
**Qualifications**
•May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
•Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position and at least 1 year of basic welding experience
•Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
•Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.

+ Ability to read and properly interpret shop drawings
+ Ability to perform welds per AWS D1.1 specification.

Customer Engineers provide technical leadership for customers around the world to help ensure their IT environments are kept optimized and healthy. Shop Fitter/Welder Scope and Responsibilities
+ Use MIG welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies in accordance with AISC and job specific standards.
+ Supply quality parts and assemblies from jigs and fixtures for the welders to complete.
+ Work on special projects as required.
+ Support QC by taking feedback into their work and making the necessary changes for a quality product.
+ Operate necessary equipment to perform tasks – includes but not limited to cranes, forklifts, mag drills, torches, hand tools, power tools, etc.
+ Arrange parts and pass along important information to welders.
+ Review fabricated assemblies for accuracy against drawings.
+ Participate and attend safety and company meetings.
+ Perform other duties as required by your manager.
Qualifications
+ Minimum 2 years of experience fitting/welding.
+ Familiar with jigs and fixtures. Familiar with hand and power tools.
+ The ability to read blueprints/engineered drawings.
+ Able to lift and carry 50lbs without assistance.
