Job Description:

Perform a variety of operations including welding, assembly, and inspection of sheet metal aerospace components while working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

* Prepare parts for loading into furnace, including wiping and final cleaning as necessary.

* Evaluate load configuration, load on racks or grids for economical batch size and furnace hot zone limits.

* Manufacturing load thermocouples.

* Completes moderate to advanced fitting and welding tasks while applying standard practices.

* Performs drilling, reaming, countersinking, and riveting, to assemble a variety of sheet metal sub-assemblies that meet required tolerances and standards.

* Uses hand and power tools, to scribe, grind, deburr, size, and fit a variety of sheet metal detail parts, sub-assemblies or complete units.

* Adjusts alignment and mating pieces to required tolerances.

* Performs spot-welding, seam-welding, poke tacking and braze preparation.

* Performs repairs such as weld defects, assembly anomalies, dents and scratches.

* Able to operate manufacturing machinery associated with typical aerospace processes.

* Checks required dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gages and other inspection tools or fixtures.

* Ensures dimensions and finishes meet required tolerances and standards against sketches, blueprints, manufacturing planning and specifications.

* Interprets and follows written instructions, sketches, weld schedules, drawings and documents.

* Accurately documents inspection findings.

* May train others on prior job experience.

* Works under limited oversight.

* Meets or exceeds operations standards for efficiency.

* Knows when to stop and find appropriate interpretation when necessary.

* Maintains thorough understanding of how to produce quality parts.

Education and Experience:

* High School Diploma / GED

* TIG experience preferred but would consider candidates right out of welding school

* Successfully completes the Exotic Metals TIG weld training program or has equivalent experience.

* Capable of obtaining and holding required Exotic Metals weld qualifications/certifications.

* Able to gain and keep certifications and stamps as Quality Assurance Inspector up to date.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Performs all-position MIG welding to join steel and aluminum metals from 1/16”- to 1”-thick plate

+ Interprets and carries out work orders, blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions

+ Clamp parts into jigs or holding fixtures

+ Cleans burrs, spatter and weld flux from assemblies

+ Hand-count material for inventory purposes

+ Wears and maintains protective clothing and equipment including a welding helmet, welding gloves, cotton clothing, safety glasses and steel-toe safety shoes

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Use various machinery

+ First and second shift available

+ Study and interpret assembly instructions

+ Listen to directions from supervisors

+ Fabricate and assemble pipe per instructions

+ Read parts list and determine if all parts are present

+ Verify specifications

+ Ensure all parts are fitted and screwed in properly

**Job Summary:** Progressive Pipe is seeking a Fabricator in our fire fabrication shop in Kingman, AZ. In this position, you will be responsible for fabricating pipe for fire protection systems by cutting, threading, weld checking each pipe and then bundling pipe for each job.

**Job Summary**

Use a universal welder to make cuts and welds on steel pipe.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

• Read blueprints and drawings

• Take measurements to plan layouts

• Set up welding machine according to specifications

• Weld components using semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions

• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

• Test all machine welds to ensure quality

• Weld by hand any leaks found in quality penetration die test

• Other duties as assigned

Plan, lay-out, weld, install, test and repair all types of pipe and similar tubular products in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes and industry standards

**Primary Responsibilities and Duties**

• Plan, diagram and lay-out for pipe welder’s work

• Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations

• Position the weld set up, fit the piping and perform welds involving a high degree of precision independently

• Lay-out, and assemble pipes accurately and according to production standards, quality requirements, safety requirements, code, design, and specifications

• Make welding repairs and substandard welds

• Assist with coordination of any Pre-Fabrication layout or installation

• Assist with rigging of material

• Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine, and other industry machines, tools and equipment

• Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
